Job description
The Associate Nutritionist is responsible for providing the formulation required by the Feed Mill plant. Works directly with the Nutritionist in keeping formulations available needed by customers and clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Formulations & Nutrition
Responsible for feed formulations required by customers including internal farm, commercial, and customized formulations.
Provide Least cost formulations for customers.
Provide formulation costings, and material usage needed by accounting, purchasing & other departments.
Ensures the safety and confidentiality of all product formulations by implementing all risk management SOPs guidelines and work instructions applicable.
Research & Development
Responsible for research of new ingredients that can possibly be used in the formulations in collaboration with R&D.
Responsible for the implementation of formulations needed by R&D for trial purposes.
Responsible for the implementation of new ingredients that will help improve feed cost.
Product Development
Collaborate with Product Category for new product development.
Technical Support
Provide technical support to customers internally and externally as needed.
Education:
Animal Science, specializing in Animal Nutrition.
Agriculture (animal science);
Animal management;
Animal production science;
Applied animal science;
Experience:
Not required but experience is an advantage
License/s:
PRC License
Other Requirements:
Working knowledge of animal nutrition and animal physiology
Knowledge of animal diseases and symptoms.
Knowledge of production performance parameters
Appreciation of Feed Sales and Marketing
Working knowledge of feed-mill operations and quality assurance.
Familiarity with analyzing data and writing reports;
The capability to formulate and communicate ideas;
The capacity to form long-term relationships with customers and clients;
an appreciation of the interdisciplinary nature of science and the validity of others' viewpoints;
Business management, time management, and personal development skills;
Advanced numeracy, IT, and internet skills;
