Infrastructure Engineer

SYNTAX IT Group is seeking a talented and motivated Infrastructure Engineer on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will lead a small team of engineers responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing the internal IT infrastructure, including network devices, virtual environments, and endpoint systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to infrastructure optimization and support. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and support the organization’s IT infrastructure, performing day-to-day operational tasks. Lead and coordinate a small team of engineers to ensure efficient infrastructure management and support. Monitor infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance, identify risks, and propose improvements. Design and implement new infrastructure solutions based on internal and client requirements. Administer and maintain infrastructure management and monitoring tools. Manage and support network devices, virtual machines, and endpoint environments. Provide technical support and address end-user requests related to infrastructure systems. Skills & Qualifications: B.Sc. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure technologies. Strong experience with Fortinet technologies , including firewalls and network devices. Experience with virtualization technologies . Solid knowledge of Microsoft Server environments . Strong experience with Active Directory administration . Good understanding of systems architecture and infrastructure design. Familiarity with ITSM tools and related technologies. Additional Skills: M.Sc. degree in a relevant field will be considered a plus. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Good communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage priorities and respond effectively to operational needs.
