Job description

AECOM is hiring an Engineering Technician to support field data collection and infrastructure mapping for municipal clients primarily in Louisville, Kentucky

This position is expected to begin ASAP.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Collect data in the field using handheld GPS units.
  • Identify and document stormwater features such as catch basins, culverts, and ditches.
  • Record detailed observations with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Upload collected data at the end of each workday.
  • Work with other team members in an outdoor environment (no heavy lifting required).

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.  
  • Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous fieldwork experience.
  • Familiarity with the water or environmental industry.
  • Strong observational and organizational skills.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
