Senior Barista

Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort are looking for a friendly and reliable Senior Barista to join our food and beverage team on a full-time basis.

This role is essential in delivering exceptional coffee and beverage experiences to guests, while supporting the smooth operation of the café or restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages.
• Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to all guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and café areas.
• Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and correctly.
• Assist with stock management, including ordering, receiving, and rotation of supplies.
• Follow health, hygiene, and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards at all times.
• Support team members during busy periods and assist with general café operations.

Shift Details (subject to change):

• Full-time position, 30 hours per week.
• Rotating roster Monday to Sunday, weekend shifts are essential.
• Shift times: 6:30am - 1:00pm.
• $28 NZD per hour.
• Immediate start available.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a barista.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment operation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
