Spanish Interpreter

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled interpreters to join our team for in-person positions. The interpreters will facilitate communication between parties speaking different languages, ensuring accurate and effective interpretation while maintaining confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.

Key Responsibilities

Interpretation

• Provide clear and accurate interpretation between speakers of different languages during meetings, appointments, conferences, and other interactions.
• Convey messages accurately, maintaining tone and context.

Technical Proficiency

• Utilize necessary equipment and technology for onsite interpretation, ensuring seamless communication.
• Familiarity with interpreting platforms and software (e.g., video conferencing tools).

Cultural Competence

• Understand cultural nuances and maintain sensitivity during interpretation, respecting confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Adapt communication style to suit different cultural backgrounds and contexts.

Availability and Communication

• Be available for scheduled onsite appointments, adhering to punctuality and reliability standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and supervisors to clarify any ambiguities in language or context.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of interpretation assignments, noting any relevant information or challenges encountered.
• Submit reports or logs as required by the organization.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Fluency in English and at least one other language.
• Proven experience as an interpreter in onsite settings.
• Certification or training in interpretation preferred.

Skills

• Excellent verbal communication skills in both languages, with a strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions.
• Ability to think quickly and convey messages accurately under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.

Working Conditions

• Onsite interpreters will work at designated locations, following safety protocols and client-specific guidelines.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
