Responsibilities Build, install, configure, and deploy middleware stacks manually and through Ansible automation. Resolve level 3 problems involving WebSphere Application Server, Liberty, APIgee, BPM, Weblogic. Plan, coordinate, and apply patches/upgrades to middleware software, ensuring they meet the latest or required levels. Coordinate and perform OS and DB maintenance activities. Complete and analyze thread and heap dumps. Manage certificates including CSR generation, cert issuing, implementation, and validation. Write and manage Ansible playbooks, accomplishing them from Ansible Tower. Migrate middleware software to AWS cloud, applying both server and serverless solutions. Apply AWS services including Fargate, Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, AWS CDK. Work hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, EKS. Manage CI/CD workflows and GitHub actions. Respond to service requests and user fulfillment related to provisioning, deployments, and assistance. Provide on-call support for priority issues. Address vulnerabilities in accordance with security guidelines. Coordinate and fulfill audit requirements. Monitor and tune WebSphere/Liberty JVM. Understand REST, SOAP, API, JSON, and XML. Configure and troubleshoot API issues, including Postman, Apigee, and Kong API. Qualifications Requirements 6-8 years of overall experience in infrastructure engineering. Skilled in WebSphere Application Server, Liberty, APIgee, BPM, Weblogic. Strong hands-on experience with EKS-based containerization and production-grade Kubernetes environments. Skilled in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow. Experience with Agile methodology. Expertise in automation tools including Ansible and Terraform. Proficient in scripting languages like Python and Shell. Solid knowledge of AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, IAM, and AWS CDK. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes orchestration. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and GitHub actions. Strong communication abilities, both technical and general. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with others. Openness to develop additional skills and acquire knowledge of new technologies related to middleware. Qualities Great teammate: able to help and guide peers whenever needed. Self-starter and independent worker. Strong communication abilities, both technical and conversational. Open to developing new skills and exploring technologies within the middleware spectrum.
