ABOUT THE ROLE The Safety Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Safety Compliance Coordinator and the Safety Department. This position is responsible for organizing, processing, and maintaining safety-related documentation, coordinating training logistics, and supporting departmental compliance efforts. Essential Functions Process, verify, and maintain safety records in electronic systems and databases. Organize and file safety documentation received from employees and field operations. Generate and distribute training certificates, cards, and reports. Coordinate scheduling and enrollment for internal and external safety training programs. Assist with enrollment in OSHA, First Aid/CPR/AED, and other required training courses. Support the preparation, assembly, and distribution of safety binders and materials. Maintain inventory of safety supplies and coordinate restocking as needed. Generate and update safety logs, reports, and tracking documents as directed. Provide general administrative support to the Safety Compliance Coordinator and department. The preceding functions are examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification. ABOUT YOU Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Prior administrative experience preferred Experience in construction or safety environment is a plus but not required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Strong organizational and administrative skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and company information. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Dependable and punctual. Physical Demands Occasional standing, bending, and lifting of materials. Ability to move and organize files and supplies. Frequently works outdoors on uneven surfaces. May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time. May be required to stoop, bend, and crouch. Work Environment Works in the Santa Fe Springs office most of the time. May work in varying weather conditions: hot, cold, and wet conditions when visiting job sites. May occasionally work in areas with large industrial equipment subject to high noise levels and hazardous chemicals when visiting job sites. WHAT WE OFFER Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate $27.00-$37.00/ hour (Non-Exempt) Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. CSI reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the selected candidate's qualifications.
