Primary Responsibilities The Executive Director of Finance Transformation will be responsible for leading the day-to-day execution of the finance organization's transformation. This Executive Director serves as the primary cross-functional lead of the function’s roadmap for people, processes & technology, with a heavy focus on the technology transformation in the short-to-mid-term (e.g., 18-24 months). The Executive Director will ensure the evolution of KeHE’s financial systems to support our business growth and efficiency goals and partner closely with leadership across Finance, IT, and Operations to create a digitally enabled, efficient, and insight-oriented finance function. Essential Functions DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Execute the Technology Transformation Roadmap Manage the definition, prioritization, and execution of the technology transformation roadmap across the Finance organization, including systems integrations, automation, and tool deployment. Ensure initiatives align with strategic goals and provide measurable benefits to FP&A, Accounting, and Shared Services. Workday Functional Leadership Serve as the lead architect and functional authority for Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning. Oversee functional requirements, prioritization, and governance of configuration, acting as the key liaison to IT's Workday Administrator. Take accountability for the success of cross-functional data integrations (API, ETL) required for AI/ML models, collaborating with technical leads on specifications. Drive Intelligent Automation Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline high-volume, manual workflows (e.g., reconciliations, invoice processing) within Accounting and Shared Services. Work closely with IT Project Delivery Leads to deliver high-value automation solutions. Enable Advanced Analytics Partner with the FP&A team to integrate Advanced Analytics and AI/ML models into the Workday Adaptive environment and Power BI platforms. Translate business needs into the technical data structures required for predictive modeling and enhanced reporting. Data Governance Management Lead data governance efforts for the finance function, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and control frameworks remain robust across all automated systems. Operational Leadership & Change Management Build alignment with Finance and Technology teams on transformation priorities and support adoption through training and user engagement. Operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing project timelines and technical resources while providing succinct updates to the VP and senior leadership. Other duties and projects as assigned. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Senior-level leadership experience in Finance, Technology, or Transformation within large, matrixed organizations. Proven success implementing AI, RPA, and financial systems. Deep knowledge of planning and reporting tools (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning, Power BI) and automation platforms. Strong executive presence with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and partner with senior executives. Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Deep, hands-on administrative and functional experience with Workday Financials and Workday Adaptive Planning. Proven ability to work collaboratively and drive alignment across diverse cross-functional teams. Ability to translate strategic finance priorities into a clear, sequenced delivery roadmap. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn business objectives into executable technical solutions. Excellent communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to lead project teams. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or relevant technical certifications are a plus. Minimum 12+ years of experience in Finance, Financial Systems, or Digital Transformation roles, with a proven track record of hands-on implementation. Minimum of 5-7+ years of managerial or team leadership experience. Prior experience in core financial functions (Accounting, Shared Services, or FP&A). Proficiency in reporting platforms (Power BI), automation solutions, and complex systems integration.
