Department Patient Access_Venice Job Summary The Revenue Cycle Support Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the education team by leading new hire training, coordinating ongoing staff education, and conducting audits to ensure quality, compliance, and readiness for performance reviews. This position is instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous learning and performance improvement within the department. In addition to training responsibilities, the coordinator performs audits to maintain high standards across workflows and serves as a resource for staff development. While the primary focus is on education and quality, the coordinator also monitors and addresses departmental requests as needed to support overall operational efficiency. Required Qualifications - Require an associate degree in a related field. Relevant experience can substitute for required degree on a year-for-year basis. Bachelor's degree is preferred. - Require a minimum of three (3) years of computer experience with at least two (2) years of experience using SMHCS systems. - Require Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification. Preferred Qualifications - Prefer demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology. - Prefer demonstrated effective communication/interpersonal skills. - Prefer the ability to be tactful, diplomatic and to handle any situation with professionalism. - Prefer general knowledge of various insurance payers benefits and third-party regulations, as well as knowledge of ICD and current CPT coding. - Prefer the ability to analyze problems and offer solutions.
