Stoughton Meadows is seeking a Wellness Director in Training (WDIT)—a hands‑on, developmental leadership role designed to prepare healthcare professionals for future Clinical Director positions. What You’ll Do
Leadership & Training
- Participate in a structured clinical leadership training program
- Shadow Clinical Directors and assist with day‑to‑day operations
- Learn staffing, scheduling, budgeting, training, and performance management
Clinical & Regulatory Support
- Assist with resident care plans, medication administration, and health assessments
- Support quality assurance initiatives and clinical outcome metrics
- Learn state and federal senior living regulations
- Help prepare for audits and mock surveys
Team Collaboration
- Support hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of wellness staff
- Collaborate with nursing staff, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in staff education and professional development
Resident & Family Engagement
- Communicate with residents and families regarding care plans and health updates
Operational Experience
- Assist with staffing plans, schedules, and inventory management
- Observe labor management and clinical cost controls
Professional Growth
- Ongoing education in geriatric care, leadership, and best practices
- Other duties assigned by the Executive Director, within scope of practice
Training Program Details
- Length: 6–12 weeks (varies by location)
- Includes mentorship, classroom learning, and hands‑on training
- Successful completion may lead to placement as a Clinical Director
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in senior living, long‑term care, or related healthcare setting
- Strong interest in leadership and management growth
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel within assigned region (if applicable)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work throughout the community and office areas
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting

- Exposure to clinical environments, infectious diseases, and hazardous materials
- Ability to assist with emergency resident evacuations
