Job description
We’re looking for a People Planning & Programmes Lead to join our growing People team. Your mission is to evolve how the People team plans and delivers work to enable a great colleague experience.
This role is based in London and is part of the broader People team focused on building a high-performing function that supports an excellent colleague experience.
You’ll partner across the People function to shape planning rhythms that connect work to our priorities, surface the highest‑value initiatives, and guide delivery across a portfolio of work.
This role suits someone highly collaborative, experienced in business planning and/or portfolio management, and comfortable operating at pace across a complex, global environment to drive impact.
This role will give you the opportunity to:
- Focus effort where it matters most - lead planning across the People team to prioritise high‑impact work, align initiatives to key priorities, and enable informed trade‑offs. Embed fit‑for‑purpose governance and evolve it as needed.
- Collaborate across locations - coordinate a portfolio of work with teams in multiple locations, managing varied requirements and time zones to deliver outcomes consistently.
- Build a high‑performing capability - build and/or lead a programmes capability that helps the People team achieve its goals and elevates the colleague experience. Manage and develop project professionals across locations, mentoring them to deliver effectively in their areas.
- Continuously improve delivery and planning - scale impact by lifting planning and delivery capability across the People team through coaching, tooling and ways of working.
About you:
You’ve led planning across organisations or large functions, creating clarity of outcomes through structured yet adaptable approaches that focus on high‑value work.
You’re experienced in portfolio leadership, able to establish credibility quickly and tailor governance to a fast‑moving context. You have a track record of shaping diverse portfolios that deliver against people and business priorities. Relevant programme, portfolio, project or change qualifications are beneficial.
You’re an excellent communicator who brings structure to ambiguity, builds relationships quickly, and works across functions and locations to move work forward.
You think globally and are comfortable supporting leaders and teams across geographies and time zones.
You’re a people‑first leader who uses data and insight to guide decisions and improve outcomes.
You understand that effective change management and thoughtful, audience‑aware communication are essential to successful delivery.
You’re passionate about People work and its impact on the colleague experience; experience within a People/HR context is a plus.
For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.
We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.
Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
