What You Get To Do:
As a Lead DSP, you are more than just a Direct Support Professional. You will work very closely with our Program Director. A Lead DSP may assist with coordinating a variety of services including, but not limited to individual finances, activities, program services, family involvement, education/vocational programs, health care/nutrition, and household management. The Lead DSP may also be responsible for staff scheduling and assisting the Program Director in maintaining consistency in programming, individual care, and communication with staff and support team members. The Lead DSP is also responsible to carry out the responsibilities and duties of direct support staff during all direct care shifts.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years working with individuals with disabilities
- A minimum of one year of lead staff experience in a caregiving environment
- Prior experience in residential services preferred
- Must have valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must have reliable vehicle with current auto liability insurance
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have good decision making, communication, and time management skills
- Must be responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions without direct supervision
- Must have basic computer skills
- A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process
