Job description

Product Strategy & Offering’s mission is to lead the early phases of the product value chain. As a team, we provide market research insights to articulate the value and pricing of our product offering. We oversee budgets, drive investment decisions, and prioritize the entire product portfolio in the best interest of Avaloq and its broad client community. We translate company strategy into product evolution and innovation by orchestrating and integrating with our partners’ ecosystem.

The team engages with numerous stakeholders and plays a central role in advocating for and conveying clear messages around our products throughout the organization and to external parties, with marketing providing support. We value curiosity, adaptability, collaboration, and dedication.     


Your key tasks 

  • Analyze market trends in managed regions for target client segments
  • Assess the client base, evaluate needs and buying behavior
  • Study competitors’ pricing and positioning; identify gaps in the market and unique selling proposition to shape a differentiation strategy
  • Align with sales and customers to review requirements and share insight within the product organization to maximize value
  • Bachelor’s degree in business and economics or information technology or engineering
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in software financial industry and knowledge of banking products
  • Skilled in market research and presenting to analysts, focusing on key financial industry players
  • Strong analytical and data skills; adept at turning data into actionable decisions and understanding metrics
  • Strategic mindset: identify markets and segments, define winning strategies, plan for the long term
  • Extensive network and effective networking abilities
  • Proficiency in English. German and Italian are an advantage

It would be a real bonus if you have 

  • Master’s degree in business and economics or information technology or engineering
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS organization
  • Avaloq products knowledge
