Job description
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Our LVTs play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and excellent client service. Responsibilities include client communication (in person and over the phone), appointment check-in and check-out, phlebotomy, catheter placement, cystocentesis, animal restraint, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, and performing treatments during appointments.
We’re looking for a candidate with strong computer skills and a passion for customer service. The ideal technician is professional, friendly, curious, reliable, and eager to learn and grow within our practice. Punctuality, responsibility, and a collaborative mindset are essential.

We’re looking for:
- A licensed veterinary technician. An active license in the state of New York is required for this position.
- 6+ months experience working as a veterinary technician.
- Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work.
- Rotating Saturday availability.
- Computer skills a must! We are a paperless practice!
- Pays attention to detail and is a fast learner.
- Triaging patients over the phone and during office visits.
- Educating clients on routine vaccine protocol and preventions.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely in person and on the phone.
- Interpret medical records and record client history accurately.
- Knowledge in preventative care and hospital flow.
- Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner.
- Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin.
- Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs.
- Proficient in anesthesia preparation, induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Patient care for hospitalized and surgery patients.
- Filling medications as instructed by the veterinarian.
- A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset.
- Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency.
Pay Range: $19 - $24/hr. depending on level of experience
