Job description
The Front Desk Supervisor directly oversees the daily operations of the Front Desk team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in alignment with company policies and applicable laws. This role is responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training new team members, as well as planning, assigning, and directing their work. The supervisor also conducts performance evaluations, provides coaching and recognition, and administers corrective action when needed. Additionally, this position handles guest and team member concerns, addressing complaints and resolving issues promptly to maintain a high level of service and operational excellence.
As the Front Desk Supervisor, you will:
- Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests
- Transmits and receives telephone messages
- Answers inquiries about hotel services; registration of guests
- Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts
- Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests
- Makes and confirms reservations
- Prepares daily reports (credit limit, cash)
- Reviews daily arrivals and departures
- Coordinates with housekeeping when VIP Guests arrive
- Training all new Front Desk personnel
- Sets up Front Desk meetings
- Makes Front Desk Schedule

- Must be able to lift up to 15lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must work weekends and holidays, including night shifts ( i.e., Second shift & Late second shift).
