Bell Person (Seasonal Part Time until October 1, 2026)
From a warm welcome to a fond farewell, as a Bellman, you will take care of the guests as soon as they step foot onto your driveway, ensuring a lasting impression for our guests’ stay.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Greet all guests arriving by vehicle, and promote valet parking as the only hotel-related parking option or clearly direct guests to appropriate public parking service if they prefer
- To ensure customer satisfaction by offering the highest caliber of service to the hotel guest on arrival and departure and throughout the length of the guest's stay
- Ensure all entrance areas are free and clear from congestion for arrivals and departures of vehicles by ensuring all cars are parked in an expedient manner
- Complete thorough walk around of guest vehicles prior to entering the garage and highlight any damage on the corresponding valet parking ticket
- When requested or anticipated, will provide guests with information and answers to questions about Hotel facilities, meeting functions, dining facilities, local transportation alternatives and tourist attractions
- Strict adherence to Fairmont Service Standard Expectations as it relates to valet parking
- Able to operate all types of vehicles (manual and regular transmission)
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Aspect of the Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Your experience and skills include:
- Available to work weekends, evenings and shift work
- Recent in good standing driver’s abstract is needed
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Team oriented
- Customer service focused
- Professional manner and outgoing personality
- Valid Driver’s License with no infractions
- Good command of the English language
- Able to operate standard transmission vehicles
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
