Optical Expert/Optical Consultant automotive (m/f/d)

Responsible for the design and validation of competitive architectural solutions for automotive Head-Up Displays (HUD) Leading the optimization of critical manufactural and process challenges in HUD mass production Driving the development of high-efficiency optical toolchains to continuously improve design efficiency Organizing design reviews to ensure the feasibility and competitiveness of optical solutions Research industry trends, rapidly learn cutting-edge technologies, and apply them to product design Provide technical support to relevant departments for customer service Responsible for system solution proposal, including : Study RFI/RFQ documents from customer, analyze and clarify customer's requirement, Leading/support System Concept Design proposal, coordinate R&D and output complete system solutions Onsite TA (Technical Addendum) presentation and concern clarification, Follow up questions raised by customers on technology assessment, and provide quick and professional service to customers, support them for the feasibility evaluation.

Master’s degree or higher in Optics, Physics (must have studied aberration theory, physical optics, and information optics) 5+ years of experience in optical design for imaging products (HUD, lenses, projectors, AR glasses) Proficient in at least one optical design software (Zemax, CodeV) and one optical simulation tool (LightTools, Speos, etc.) Skilled in scripting (Python, MATLAB, VB, etc.) for data analysis and processing Strong systematic thinking and cross-disciplinary problem-solving skills Fast learner with a strong self-driven attitude and energetic, passionate, curiousness, open-minded, resilient character Excellent communication skills in English (is a must) and German (is a plus), Exceptional presentation and written skills (PowerPoint) Willingness to travel
