These roles are for our spring event season which includes Adult Camp (May 21st – May 25th) and Family Camp (May 29th – May 31st).
The Adventure Recreation Attendant position is an integral part of the camper's visit, providing an experience beyond all expectations by fostering enthusiasm, creativity and fun. You will execute and support all aspects of adventure recreation including overall programming and appropriate use of facilities. The goal is to ensure a high-level entertainment during each activity and, make sure staff and participants are engaged and participating in a responsible and safe manner. The Adventure Recreation Attendant will be responsible for oversite the safety, vibe, and cleanliness of the facilities used around camp and activities such as but not limited to; Ropes Course, Go Karts, Water Slide and Kilter Wall.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend and engage in weekly meetings to discuss current status, inventory and safety lists
Assist in facilitating guest signups and schedules.
Support storytelling, social and content ideas for recreation.
Guide, encourage and assist guests through adventure recreation obstacles and attractions.
Assist with guest requests and needs in a timely manner.
Knowledgeable in working with and engaging youth ages 7-17.
Instruct safety courses and explain safety process effectively before guests enter each course or activity.
Create and initiate accommodations, games and challenges to enhance each participants experience.
Ensure campers are acting responsibly and respectfully to others within the lines and while participating in each the respected activities.
Adapt activities to guests needs.
Execute and operate the adventure recreation offerings including but not limited to: Go-Karts ,Kilter Wall and Rope Course.
Ability to open and close each adventure recreation activity.
Responsible for the day to day cleanliness of the facility by sweeping, picking up trash, putting disregarded belongings into the Lost and Found, cleaning and putting away equipment.
Assist in routine maintenance and inspections for all recreation facilities and equipment.
Effectively communicate the safety and maintenance needs for all adventure recreation courses and equipment.
Provide a feedback report to evaluate, evolve, and elevate all courses and equipment.
Assist in maintaining safety logs, operational sheets and incident logs.
Other duties as assigned.

-+/- 15 Campers (7-17 years old)

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
1+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens.
Provide work related references upon request.
Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child abuse clearance through the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by position and federal background screening via FBI fingerprinting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred 1+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens.
Experience working with ropes courses, kilter walls and go Karts.
Experience working in a camp environment is preferred.
Some college is preferred.
PRE-REQUISITES
Must have or be able to obtain the following prior to starting work:
Woodward will supply information to assist you in obtaining these if needed.
Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
Safesport Training Certificate
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs.
Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment.
Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines.
Primary on-site work location: Woodward, PA.
