Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a teams of 2 to 6 Engineers for Dry Gas Seal Support System Post Order Engineering. Required Skills and experience
- Accountable for overall Engineering KPI ‘s and focus on OTD and Quality metrices
- Subject Matter expert in GSS Design activities. Able to lead all regions design activities while complying to global standards & KPIs. Lead training of Junior Design Engineers.
- Working directly with all internal stakeholders and align with them on Engineering Service Level to meet their expectation.
- I‐ Project – job management tool for Gas seal system engineering as a global tool, Support for migration from I Project to any alternative Engineering project / job management software as directed by Engineering Solutions management.
- Job Planning in DOSE & MS project, Distribution of the work among the team member and drive quality output well within the promise date
- Provide promise date to stakeholders based accurate estimation of man hours, resource planning and priority of the project.
- Accountable for on time submission of. Engineering deliverables, technical clarifications, Comments and Deviations, value added engineering solutions, technical clarification during customer approval cycle, working with Operation / Contract Manager / Project Manager and manufacturing site leaders.
- Distil best practices for achieving growth and help replicate best practices on a worldwide basis
Key Accountabilities:
- 100% Compliance to processes & procedures laid down by organization e.g. iprojects, DOSE, TC, SAP, etc.
- Contribute to safety measures and company policies.
- Good communication skills.
- Quick Learner with sound technical and analytical skills.
- Good in understanding and reading drawing capabilities.
- Liaise with respective Stake holder and drawing offices.
- Support safe workplace cultures and compliance with Smiths EH&S.

- On Time Deliveries: Shall always thrive to meet OTD and communicate in advance if there are any roadblocks
- Lesser Quality Issues: Shall practice First Time Right approach.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 6 years relevant Industrial experience
Experience
- 6+ Years
- Technical Skills
- Knowledge of piping, fittings, valves instrumentation, etc.
- Technical background.
- Good Team Player
- Self Motivated and quick learner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, a proficiency in MS Office,
- Should have very good application knowledge of Fits and Tolerances and GD&T in Design of precision assemblies.
Desirable Experience
- Hands on experience of using Solid Edge CAD software. Solid Edge-CAD package customization & library creation for 3D part, sub-assemblies & main assemblies.
- Strong hands-on skills in Solid Edge 3D/2D. Experience with CAD Automation programming. Solid Edge and Rule stream experience is mandatory.
- Work experience in Solid Edge 3D CAD automation project in Engineering service companies and sound CAD programming skills will be added advantage.
