Reimagine What’s Possible
The DT Automation Engineer position is responsible for requirements definition, functional design, custom development and technical support within the suite of rapid application development platforms used at Air Products such as AgilePoint and ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a background in web development, and a passion for delivering high-quality, robust business solutions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
This position is accountable for the following:
Collaborate with solutions architects / technical leads to develop new solutions in rapid application development platforms.
Create bug fixes and implement changes to applications and interfaces.
Assist in creating a testing strategy and ensuring all functionality is tested prior to production deployment.
Actively participate in design discussions and code reviews.
Understands both Agile Methodology, project execution approaches and provides guidance to other teams.
Accountable to deliver and maintain existing services, resolve incidents and problem management and meet SLAs.
Create and maintains accurate documentation for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of key technologies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
This position requires strong knowledge and skills in the following areas:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience required.
5+ years of programming
Experience with web development (.Net, C#, JavaScript and/or any other scripting languages) a plus.
Experience with integration technologies such as Web Services (REST, SOAP) a plus.
Experience working with cloud-based technology (AWS, DevOps tools) is a plus.
Experience with general IT system development, IT infrastructure and business processes such as ITIL, DevOps and Agile/Scrum methodologies a plus.
Highly collaborative, accountable and results driven individual who also can work independently at times.
Ability to learn new technologies and how best to leverage them to meet the business needs.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both as an individual contributor and as a team member.
Ability to handle conflicting and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and closure.
Strong oral and written English communication skills.
Continuous improvement mindset with strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate and work effectively across global teams and with all levels of the company.
