Structure Engineer

 

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and checklists for structural and road-related works in compliance with RTA specifications and international standards.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of structural and road inspectors, ensuring inspections are conducted as per approved ITPs and quality requirements.
• Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals for bridges, underpasses, culverts, retaining walls, and ancillary highway structures.
• Coordinate and inspect foundation, substructure, and road-related works including piling, pile caps, abutments, piers, pavements, and concrete barriers.
• Monitor progress of structural works, report status and risks to the Project Manager, and coordinate interfaces with roadworks, utilities, and MEP services.
• Review, verify, and maintain inspection records, test results, and documentation for as-built drawings and project close-out records.
• Identify non-conformances in structural and road works, issue NCRs, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with RTA safety requirements, temporary works approvals, and construction sequencing constraints.
• Liaise with the Design Team to resolve design queries, RFIs, and technical clarifications related to structural and road elements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and inspectors, and participate in technical and coordination meetings with contractors and consultants.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related Engineering discipline
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in structural design, engineering, and construction supervision on complex, large-scale projects

• 5+ years of experience in UAE as structural engineer, with a focus on building design and analysis
• Extensive knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Etabs, Autodesk Robot, SAFE, Staad Pro, should have worked on Roads, bridges, highways, infrastructure mandatory.
• Proven track record of working on large and complex projects in RTA
