The role involves setting up and operating our SMART Replay system at the AFL Review Centre (ARC) in Melbourne, as well as delivering Hawk-Eye’s on-site Match Day Technology at Australian venues.

We will equip you with the technical training, support and full exposure to our systems to perform your day-to-day tasks, but also encourage development and progression to help impact what we do.

You may gain exposure to various other services as you grow in the role and become a more experienced member of the team.

This is a full-time opportunity and there will be lots of weekend based work (Thursday - Monday), with hours based around match fixtures.

A Hawk-Eye Systems Operator works across a broad range of sports, not simply in an operational capacity but also assisting with system design (front and back end) and is a vital voice in progressing Hawk-Eye’s offerings.

  • Conducting pre-match checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures
  • Liaising with AFL officials, stadium/club personnel, match officials and host broadcasters both on-site and remotely
  • Monitoring and operating the system during the match
  • Work with match officials, responding to their requests for replays and quickly delivering them the best possible angles to make crucial decisions
  • Analysing software performances, being able to troubleshoot and report encountered issues
  • Building and maintaining our hardware and equipment
  • Organising logistics for travelling between stadium locations as and when required

WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO WILL CONSISTENTLY DEMONSTRATE:

  • Initiative
  • Proactivity
  • Logical problem-solving
  • A calm but confident demeanour in pressured situations
  • Intermediate to Advanced Computer skills with a knowledge of networking and computer components
  • An interest in being involved in sport at the highest level
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

At Hawk-Eye Innovations, we appreciate and value the importance of potential and growth. If you do not hit all of the criteria above but believe that there are certain areas you excel in and that you possess the passion and desire to develop the other attributes, then we encourage you to apply.

WHAT YOU'LL GET FROM THIS ROLE

  • A high-autonomy role with real exposure to the forefront of the sports officiating and broadcasting world
  • The opportunity to experience some of the highest-profile sporting events around the globe
  • Access to some of the most intelligent, innovative and driven people in our industry
  • Involved in a fast-growing business where opportunities for progression are plentiful.

At Hawk-Eye not only do you get to be part of the cutting edge of sports technology but you will also be valued and rewarded for your contribution through a strong reward platform.
