About the Role
ALS Water Division operates a modern commercial laboratory in Scoresby that’s equipped with the latest technologies.
We have a 12-Month, Fixed-Term Laboratory Technician role available supporting the Microbiology Team.
This role is fast paced and requires you to work at speed with accuracy. Experience in a Commercial NATA accredited Microbiology Laboratory and water quality testing would be advantageous.
The day to day
The successful applicants will undertake a range of duties including the following:
Preparation and samples analysis in accordance with ALS Quality Work Instructions
Interpretation and result entry into LIMS system
Completing task accurately, in set timeframes and to the relevant analysis standard
Highlighting anomalies in results and sample type and sample behaviour to the Team Leader
Organising designated tasks to maximise daily efficiency
Contribution to a clean, tidy and organised Laboratory.
The Essentials
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
Ideally, experience in a Commercial Microbiology Laboratory
Relevant experience – Degree qualification
Excellent organisational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Team orientated with ability to work autonomously
Strong focus on quality and safety standards
Attention to detail.
