Job description

Taking a more holistic care approach, work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing.

  • Taking a more holistic care approach, work within a multidisciplinary team to support your clients journey from rehab to healing;
  • Using a client-centred approach, develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans. Provide ongoing care and communication as you support your client return to the same job or obtain new employment;
  • Perform a variety of assessments including ADL’s, functional capacity evaluations, worksite, and ergonomic assessments;
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including the employee who has suffered injury, illness, or trauma, medical specialists, and other treatment providers;
  • Report writing, reviewing medical files and maintaining case notes through high quality case management;
  • Support a dual customer caseload – Mainly current members of our ADF and some DVA.

Work location may vary between the Acumen office and customer worksite (local ADF bases) with some work from home options.

What will make you successful:

  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with AHPRA
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Clinical reasoning
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate
  • Experience in occupational rehabilitation and working with military would be highly regarded
