MB Strip Line Operator

Position Summary:  Safely and efficiently operate the inline and contour edge banders, while properly handling materials and products, meeting production goals, maintaining quality standards, and team objectives.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Starts up and shuts down the machine at the beginning and end of the shift.
• Loads the proper color banding into the machine.
• Inspects the parts to make sure they conform to quality specifications.
• Stacks shelves on pallet and properly band for transport.
• Delivers special parts to the specials line.
• Performs maintenance to machine as needed.
• Cleans area at end of shift and as needed throughout the day.
• Removes excess edge banding material.
• Wipes parts to remove any glue residue.
• Completes hour by hour boards daily.
• Completes TPM boards daily/weekly.
• Contacts lead person or supervisor if problems occur.
• Maintains 5S in area.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Other duties as assigned.
