Job description
As the Onboard Software Team Lead, you will drive the development of cutting-edge software for our autonomous shuttles, shaping both the technical architecture and the strategic direction of our robotics applications. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will mentor a high-performing team, collaborate across disciplines, and deliver innovative solutions that define the future of our products.
- Lead and inspire a cross-functional software team to develop high-quality applications for our autonomous shuttles.
- Define and execute the strategic vision and short-term priorities for the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with Movu Robotics’ goals and product roadmap.
- Design, implement, and maintain the application software architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Contribute to the definition of the shuttle controls strategy, integrating cutting-edge robotics and automation technologies.
- Prioritize and manage project tasks to meet deadlines without compromising quality, balancing innovation with practical execution.
- Build and optimize the software release process and CI/CD pipeline to streamline development and deployment.
- Support software and product testing, working alongside QA teams and product experts to ensure robust, user-centric solutions.
- Drive the creation of clear, comprehensive software product documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of engineering experience in machine or robot application software development.
- Proven experience in embedded software or firmware development is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with MATLAB or ROS2 is highly desirable.
- Experience with the V-model (requirements, design, coding, integration, testing) is required.
- Leadership experience in managing teams or projects is greatly valued.
