Role Overview:
Could you be our next Mailroom Clerk? Globe Life is looking for a Mailroom Clerk to join the team!
This role is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing mail, internal and external to the organization. Some of the responsibilities and duties of this position include opening, reading, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and packages, collecting, and processing outgoing mail, data entry of information concerning receipt of courier shipments and Certification Statements.
This is an on-site position located in McKinney, Texas.
What You Will Do:
- Sort incoming correspondence, including insurance claim forms and returned mail, in a timely manner.
- Prep claims to be scanned by Scanning unit.
- Inscribe date of receipt for incoming mail.
- Handle daily incoming and outgoing packaging of FedEx, UPS, and local carrier shipments.
- Weigh and meter outgoing First-Class mail
- Pick up and drop off mail at the McKinney U.S. Post Office three times per day using the company van.
- Collect and distribute mail to all departments within the organization.
- Occasionally assist with other team member processing areas as directed by management.
- Confidentiality must kept always.
What You Can Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in a mailroom setting and a production-type environment preferred.
- Must have a current Class C TX Driver’s License.
- Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures.
- Basic computer operating skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Ability to be logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to be highly self-motivated and directed.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment while working independently and with limited supervision.
