About the role
We are seeking a professional Casual Maritime Security Officer to join our team in Abbott Point. This is a great opportunity to work in a high-profile maritime environment, ensuring the safety and security of the facility and all personnel on site.
This position offers a Level 3 pay rate of $35.83 per hour (including casual loading) plus a $2.03 port allowance per hour, First Aid allowance and applicable shift penalties.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Control access for personnel and vehicles entering and exiting the site.
- Conduct foot patrols to ensure site safety.
- Screen staff members arriving or departing the site, including ID verification.
- Maintain the security of restricted zones.
- Record all vehicle movements, personnel entries, and incidents in site logs.
Requirements:
- Full Australian working rights.
- Valid Queensland Security Licence (Unarmed and Monitoring – or willingness to obtain (monitoring))
- QLD White Card (or willing to obtain)
- Occupational First Aid - HLTSS00068 (or willing to obtain).
- Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing HLTPAT005 (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSS will sponsor and fund)
- Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
