(Senior) Accountant, Centralized G/L Accounting (m/f/d)

We are looking for a (Senior) Accountant, Centralized G/L Accounting (m/f/d) to join our International Accounting team at SIXT. In this role, you will take ownership of centralized general ledger accounting across multiple countries and contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting under IFRS and local GAAP. You will act as a key point of contact for international stakeholders, support process improvements, and contribute to impactful finance transformation projects such as our SAP S/4HANA rollout. YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You manage centralized G/L accounting activities across multiple SIXT countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• You support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS and local standards
• You act as a trusted point of contact for our Germany-based accounting team and external partners
• You identify inefficiencies and actively contribute to the improvement and standardization of accounting processes
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations across regions
• You contribute to high-impact finance projects, including the implementation of SAP S/4HANA

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Experience You bring solid hands-on accounting experience or a background in audit/consulting with a clear motivation to move into an in-house role
• Education You hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a comparable qualification
• Technical Skills You have strong Excel skills; experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus
• Mindset You are proactive, solution-oriented, and motivated to identify and resolve inefficiencies
• Communication You communicate clearly and effectively and feel confident working with international stakeholders
• Languages You are fluent in English; additional languages such as German, French, or Spanish are a plus
