About The Opportunity

The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for leading the demand forecasting process to support optimal inventory levels, service performance, and financial outcomes. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, and Operations to create an accurate, consensus‑based demand plan that aligns with business objectives. The Demand Planning Manager plays a critical role in the SIOP process and continuously improves forecasting accuracy and planning maturity.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Forecasting & Planning

  • Own the end‑to‑end demand planning process, including statistical forecasting, new product introductions, and lifecycle management

  • Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts at appropriate levels of detail (SKU, customer, product line, region)

  • Challenge assumptions and incorporate market intelligence, historical trends, and business insights to improve forecast accuracy

  • Account for manufacturing realities such as lead times, minimum order quantities, batch sizing, and capacity constraints

  • Analyze forecast accuracy, bias, and demand volatility; lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives

Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP)

  • Lead monthly demand review meetings as part of the SIOP process

  • Present demand scenarios, risks, and assumptions to cross‑functional leadership

  • Partner with Supply Planning and Manufacturing to balance demand, capacity, and

  • undefined

  • Ensure demand plans are approved and translated into executable supply, production, and procurement plans

 

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to align on large programs, customer commitments, and growth assumptions

  • Collaborate with Supply Planning and Operations to ensure demand plans are feasible and executable

  • Work with Finance to align forecasts with budgets, financial targets, and revenue expectations

  • Support NPI and phase‑out planning, ensuring smooth transitions without excess or obsolete inventory

Process Improvement & Analytics

  • Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy, bias reduction, and planning efficiency

  • Leverage demand planning systems and analytics to enhance scenario modeling and decision‑making (Logility)

  • Support system implementations, upgrades, and master data initiatives

  • Own data integrity and governance for demand signals feeding MRP and ERP systems

  • Establish and report key demand planning KPIs to leadership

Education/ Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree.  Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • 5–8+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain roles.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies and SIOP processes

  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business insights

  • Proficiency in demand planning systems (e.g., Logility) and Excel

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Strategic thinking and business acumen

Working Conditions

  • Periodic travel (up to 20–30%) to plants and sales/corporate offices.
