Accounting Specialist

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As an Accounting specialist, you will be responsible for keeping the books correct and updated according to H&M Group rules and local regulations. Work together with manager and co-workers in a professional and efficient way according to H&M values.

You will:

• Be responsible for monthly and annual closings
• Be responsible for general ledger records, reconciliations
• Deal with accounts payable
• Work in accordance with VAT, Corporate tax, Withholding tax rules
• Contribute to the development of the business and the team by using initiative
• Share and explain administrative routines with other departments
• Report to Accounting manager and close collaboration with international co-workers in a professional and efficient way according to H&M values

As part of the Dynamic Accounting Team, each role contributes to creating a transparent, accurate, and trustworthy financial environment, from Accounting Specialists, Supervisors, to Department Managers. You'll also connect with Global Teams, collaborating with other departments to share insights and drive success together. With your team, you will play a key role in helping our company's financial processes are streamlined, compliant, and aligned with strategic goals. By providing accurate and timely information, we support our company's growth and build a strong foundation for a sustainable future.

WHO YOU ARE

We’re looking for people with…

• A university degree, preferably from Business Administration, Finance or Economics
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience and knowledge of local accounting, tax law
• Strong analytical thinking skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Good knowledge of SAP is an asset
• Fluency in English & Turkish both written and verbal

This is a full-time role, based on a local contract in İstanbul, Türkiye. Accounting Specialist is a part of the Accounts Department and reports to the Accounts Manager.
