Job Description:
The IT Pharmacist is a specialized role at the intersection of pharmacy practice and information technology, responsible for leveraging technological solutions to optimize pharmacy operations and enhance patient care. This position involves collaborating with healthcare teams, IT professionals, and pharmacy staff to implement, manage, and support pharmacy information systems. The IT Pharmacist plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless integration of technology into pharmacy workflows, contributing to medication safety, regulatory compliance, and overall healthcare IT pharmacy technology configurationEducation: ▪ Required: Bachelor’s in pharmacy - Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy Experience: ▪ Required: Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmacy practice, with a focus on pharmacy information systems or health informatics. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and pharmacy automation technologies. Skills: • In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication management processes. • Proficiency in utilizing and managing pharmacy information systems. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues related to pharmacy technology. • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with interdisciplinary teams. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring accuracy in medication-related data. Licensure/Certification/Registration: ▪ Required: Registered with Missouri Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacist
