About the team + role
We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.
The Real Estate team at Robinhood oversees the design, construction, and vendor management of our global workplaces. The team delivers large-scale tenant improvement projects—including interior fit-outs, retrofits, decommissioning, and office and technology campus builds—while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. In partnership with Workplace Operations, Corporate Engineering, and Security, the team creates functional, brand-aligned environments across our global footprint.
As a Real Estate Project Manager, you will lead complex projects that shape Robinhood’s workplaces worldwide! Reporting to the Senior Manager of Real Estate, you will manage end-to-end delivery of major construction initiatives, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met. You will partner with internal teams and external vendors to deliver spaces that support employee experience and reflect Robinhood’s brand. We’re looking for a proactive, results-oriented project manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and can drive multiple initiatives simultaneously. You bring strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.
What you’ll do
- Lead multiple concurrent office buildouts end-to-end, including workplace strategy, programming, design, permitting, procurement, and construction, ensuring alignment with design standards and leadership expectations
- Partner with Workplace, Corporate Engineering, IT, and leadership to align space planning, employee experience, and integrated building technologies (AV, network, security, smart systems)
- Coordinate low-voltage infrastructure, including IDF/MDF, data, and workplace technology deployments
- Manage RFP processes and vendor selection for architects, contractors, and key service providers
- Develop and maintain project controls and reporting (schedule, budget, risks, KPIs), using data to inform decisions and mitigate issues early
- Lead stakeholder engagement and planning for moves, restacks, and new office launches
- Contribute to global workplace standards, design guidelines, and scalable project delivery playbooks
- Review and validate drawings, schedules, budgets, and technical documentation from architects, contractors, and vendors
- Manage program financials, including budgeting, forecasting, funding requests, and cash flow tracking
- Drive cost control, value engineering, and constructability reviews to optimize project outcomes
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and compliance with specifications
- Oversee project and contract closeout, including invoicing, retention release, and final deliverables
- Build and manage vendor relationships, identifying opportunities to standardize processes and scale programs
- Partner with Finance and Workplace Operations to track fixed assets across sites, ensuring accurate inventory and reporting
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience managing commercial design and construction projects, with a focus on office buildouts and tenant improvements
- Demonstrated experience leading projects across all phases, including programming, design, permitting, procurement, and construction
- Experience with contract administration, RFP processes, vendor management, and third-party consultant oversight
- Strong experience with project controls, including budgeting, cost tracking, scheduling, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize across competing timelines and partners
- Strong communication, negotiation, and issue resolution skills
- Experience interpreting construction documents, drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with design and construction tools such as AutoCAD, BIM platforms, and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
- Professional certifications such as PMP or CCM are a plus
- Proficiency with collaboration and workflow tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Jira) and procurement platforms (e.g., Coupa), with comfort adopting new tools to improve efficiency and decision-making
