Job description
The work:
- Write a variety of both short-form and long-form content for clients, including blog articles, webinars and presentations, web content, infographics, brochures, infographics, video scripts, and guides.
- Become a product SME, gaining a deep knowledge of specific policy topic areas as required.
- Collaborate internally and with the client across account, design, strategy, policy, and content teams to uncover customer and business needs, then translate them into engaging partner, leadership, and customer materials.
- Determine story structure and tone as necessary to address intended audiences and end goals.
- Review both peer- and client-written content and provide constructive feedback that advocates for quality, client style, and comprehension.
- Proofread all deliverables from initial development through final stages to ensure quality and error-free work at every step.
- Review client and peer feedback and address it through revisions of content.
- Present, and if necessary, defend content decisions and recommendations.
- Participate in content strategy and editorial meetings.
Here’s what you need:
- 5+ years of professional copywriting experience with writing samples or a portfolio of work
- Experience working with tracked changes in Word and working in drafting templates
- Experience using client style guides and reference materials, such as Chicago Manual of Style and AP Stylebook
- Experience with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
Bonus if you have experience:
- Creating or working with content strategy, including content audits, creative briefs, and messaging frameworks
- Analyzing high-level government policy and translating those ideas for audiences in easy-to-understand, accurate, and effective language
- Working with plain language
- Utilizing AI tools that simplify content workflow
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
