Job Title: PMO Manager
Compensation: $120,000 to $135,000
Location: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
Adswerve is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and experienced leader to join our dynamic Project Management Office (PMO) as the PMO Manager. This role is pivotal to ensuring the PMO drives seamless project delivery by leading a team of project managers, architecting our project management systems, and maintaining the kind of proactive visibility that keeps project on scope and delivering business value. You will partner closely with senior leadership to scale delivery operations while remaining hands-on for high-profile engagements.
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with natural curiosity and a passion for leading teams and projects to successful outcomes. This leader thrives on creating clarity, ensuring that at any given moment, teams and clients understand what has been done, what is currently in flight, and what is explicitly outside the scope of a project. They are equally skilled at preventing problems as they are at solving them: identifying risks early and addressing them before they escalate. Superior interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, as well as the ability to quickly grasp complex technical topics, are essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, providing coaching, guidance, and career development support.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture that aligns to Adswerve’s pillars and project management best practices.
- Own the full project lifecycle for client-facing engagements, from kickoff through closure, ensuring delivery is on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality. Ensuring clients and internal teams always have a clear picture of project status, decisions made, open items, and scope boundaries
- Act as a key escalation point for both the PMO team, clients, and Adswerve stakeholders.
- Partner with senior leadership to define, establish, and track metrics for long-term project success and client operational efficiency.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle for client-facing engagements, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Own the optimization of our project management technology, including but not limited to designing and implementing custom workflows, automation, and reporting structures that streamline team operations.
- Lead high-profile projects or new initiatives personally that drive forward Adswerve’s strategy
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and clients, providing regular, professional communication regarding project health and risks.
- Apply to develop, build, and implement best practices for project delivery methodologies.
- Apprise leadership of critical risks and facilitate solutions for issues that may have long-term impacts on the business.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience successfully managing direct reports in a professional services environment.
- 7+ years leading complex, cross-functional projects, preferably in a client-facing professional services capacity.
- Active Project Management certification (PMP, Agile certification) or equivalent preferred.
Background in Business Analysis or process development. - Focus on outcomes and results, not just process.
- Experience with organizational change management methodologies like Prosci.
- Deep proficiency in PM tooling, like Asana and Jira.
- Experienced in Asana, Jira, and resource management tools preferred
- Experience with the Google Marketing Platform (GMP) is highly preferred; experience with Adobe marketing tools is a significant plus.
- Superior written and oral communication skills, with the ability to maintain poise in high-pressure situations.
- Nimble and analytical mindset with a high degree of perseverance and tolerance for ambiguity.
