The Opportunity Company, Department: Nova Scotia Power, Enterprise Asset Management. Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia Closing Date: May 11, 2026 We are looking for an Engineering Specialist to join our Enterprise Asset Management team. In this role, you will be reporting to Senior Manager, Asset Reliability & Risk Management. Key elements of this role include: You will play a key role in establishing, managing and maintaining the asset condition data and risk profiles for the Steam Turbines assets throughout NS Power. Lead long-term investment planning, provide subject matter expertise, and optimize and improve asset management processes where necessary. Review Turbine project lists against risk and identify deferral or advancement opportunities and update Risk Profiles for all Turbine assets by processing condition data from operations and populating the risk register. Develop the annual Investment Plan and utilize updated risk register to realign long-term investment plans with risk and reliability team feedback. Provide technical oversight for turbine operations to respond to outage events and/or review equipment condition. Also doing complete root cause analysis investigations for turbine outage events. Promote asset management principles with turbine stakeholder groups through education sessions. You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers, by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the Environmental Management System processes and initiatives. These skills will make you successful: To thrive in this role, you recognize yourself in most of the following competencies and skills listed below: A successful candidate will have either a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree with membership or eligible for membership with Engineers Nova Scotia. Minimum of 12 years' experience in turbine operations and projects. Experience in a reliability engineering role in maintaining heavy industrial equipment in power generation facility or other industrial environment. Hands-on experience with a computerized maintenance management system and are proficient in MS Office Suite.
