In this role, you’ll manage claims in accordance with policy conditions and departmental service standards, ensuring exceptional client service and effective claims resolution. You’ll play a key role in delivering strong client outcomes through effective claims assessment, negotiation and advocacy. You’ll work closely with clients, brokers and internal stakeholders to provide expert guidance across the end‑to‑end claims process, including complex and non‑straightforward matters. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert advice to clients, brokers, and account management staff on all claims matters Assess claims by interpreting policy wordings and reviewing circumstances Advocate for clients to achieve the best possible claims settlement outcomes Investigate and negotiate complex and non standard claims Collaborate with Claims Leaders to deliver structured solutions for clients and brokers Review complex claims and assist clients with dispute resolution, including IDR and EDR (AFCA) What We’re Looking For: Front line client servicing experience in claims or client facing role Solid understanding of claims processes, lodgement and policy interpretation Knowledge of insurance products and markets across commercial / SME segments Strong negotiation, influencing and client advocacy skills Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, brokers and underwriting partners Sound business acumen with a solutions focused mindset Note:This is a 12‑month maternity leave contract with genuine potential to transition into a permanent role.
