Department Behavorial Health ECT Job Summary The Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Multi-Skilled Technician (MST) supports safe, efficient, and patient-centered care throughout all phases of the ECT treatment process. This role assists nursing and anesthesia staff with patient preparation, procedural support, monitoring, and recovery while ensuring compliance with Sarasota Memorial Hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols. The ECT MST plays a critical role in maintaining patient flow, treatment readiness, and operational efficiency within the ECT department. Required Qualifications - Require one of the following: 1.) Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or 2.) Nursing students who are eligible for CNA exam are required to: a.) currently be enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN); b.) have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN/BSN degree or completion of first trimester for LPN and c.) cannot be currently licensed in the U.S. as a RN or LPN; or 3.) Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification: Provide certification of successful completion of a Florida State Board approved program and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.
