Certification (NBSTSA) due within 6 months of hire. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Assists the Registered Nurse and Physician in providing surgical intervention to patients; functions under Joint Commission Accreditation Hospital Organization (JCAHO), Michigan Department of Public Health (MDPH) regulations and the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) recommended standards of care in conjunction with Departmental procedures; completes other duties under the direction of Manager Patient Care. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate from a National Association of Operating Room Technicians (AORT) Advisory Board approved program eligible for certification. License/certifications: National certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA). Maintain current CPR recertification (BLS-American Heart Association).
