Job description
We are looking for a detail‑oriented and highly committed Automation Engineer (HMI) with a strong affinity for IT and modern visualization technologies. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of automation, industrial IT, and user‑centric interface design contributing directly to the performance, reliability, and usability of our production line systems. With your expertise in databases, networking, and intuitive HMI concepts, you will help shape robust and innovative visualization solutions that enable smooth and efficient operations across our entire equipment portfolio.
- Develop and adapt HMI/SCADA systems for complete production lines
- Build, maintain, and optimize SQL databases
- Design intuitive visualization concepts and process interfaces
- Integrate HMI systems into existing automation and network infrastructures
- Execute functional tests and perform in‑house root‑cause analysis
- Support commissioning activities at customer sites (low travel requirement)
- Prepare technical documentation and collaborate closely with automation, electrical, and IT teams
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Practical experience working with SQL databases
- Solid expertise in HMI/SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware InTouch or AVEVA System Platform)
- Good understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP)
- Confident handling of Windows operating systems
- Ability to multitask and take responsibility for complete production lines
- Good English proficiency and openness to international travel when required
- Structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented working style
- 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in automation, HMI/SCADA, or industrial IT (more senior profiles are equally welcome!)
