CEI Inspector IV

AECOM is seeking an Inspector to be based in San Antonio, Texas.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

• Responsible for setting own project deadlines and managing time effectively to meet project milestones.

• Provides on the job training to new employees and mentors junior inspection staff on best practices and compliance procedures.

• Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.

• Performs daily field inspections and maintains comprehensive inspection records, documentation, and reports.

• Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure project completion and handover readiness.

• Tracks quality assurance progress and identifies corrective actions for non-conformances.

• Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers and prepares final inspection reports.

• Verifies material certifications, test results, and supplier documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications.

• Coordinates with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to communicate inspection findings and resolve field issues.

• Maintains awareness of project schedules and budgets, reporting any impacts related to quality or inspection concerns.

• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and OSHA requirements on job sites and reports safety hazards or violations.

 

Minimum Requirements:

• HS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• Valid Driver License required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant TxDOT construction inspection experience.

• TxDOT Site Manager or AASHTOWare Project software experience.

• TxAPA Level 1A and 1B certification.

• ACI Grade 1 and strength test certification.
