Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, managing outgoing payments, and reconciling accounts statements. You will serve as a key point of contact for vendor inquiries and help maintain strong, professional relationships with our suppliers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Invoice processing: Review, verify and code a high volume of vendor invoices for accuracy and proper authorization. • Payment Management: Schedule and execute payments runs, while ensuring adherence to payment terms and internal policies. • Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of vendor statements and investigate any discrepancies or outstanding balances. • Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary contact for vendor inquiries regarding payment status and resolve billing disputes professionally. • Record Keeping: Maintain organised financial records and documentation to ensure the company is audit- ready at all times.

Role Requirements:

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting is preferred. • Software: Proficiency in accounting software (Sap is preferred) • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and financial calculations • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and internal departments. • Education: High school diploma required: an Associates’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
