Kitchen Assistant / Cook

Mō te tūranga | About the opportunity

The Kitchen Assistant / Cook is responsible for delivering efficient food service to our residents and providing a high level of customer service.

You will support the Food Service Manager through kitchen and meal preparation including assembling and preparing ingredients, baking, cooking, toasting, and heating food items. You will also be responsible for keeping the kitchen and scullery areas clean, tidy, and safe.

• Experience working within a commercial kitchen or similar environment
• Good Knife Skills
• Understanding the importance of following food control plan
• Good record keeping
