Position Summary:
The Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable, billing, collections, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.
Responsibilities:
Provide timely and accurate payment processing by processing accounts payable checks/ACH as needed
Input credits and debits to the accounting system in support of the payables work
Develop and maintain reports and files on the Accounts Payable processing
Input general ledger entries for accounting activity
Develop and maintain reports and files on asset and liability account balances
Support month-end close processes
Assist in streamlining accounting processes across all business units
Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
Ad hoc analysis as needed
Qualifications:
In pursuit of Accounting/Finance degree
Solid Excel skills
Strong attention to detail
Able to take instructions from others
Comfortable asking questions
Good attendance and work ethic
Supervision Exercised: none
Supervision Received: Senior Director, Controller
