Job Description – Project Engineer (CFS) | Data Centre – West
Employment Type: Contractual
Business: CFS (Fire & Life Safety)
Location: West Region (Data Centre Projects)
Role Summary
The Project Engineer – CFS will be responsible for execution, coordination, and delivery of Fire & Life Safety (CFS) systems for Data Centre projects in the West region. The role involves site execution, vendor coordination, quality assurance, and ensuring timely completion as per project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute CFS systems (Fire Alarm, Detection & Suppression systems) for Data Centre projects
- Site supervision, installation monitoring, testing & commissioning activities
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with NFPA/local fire norms and project specifications
- Manage BOQ execution, material inspection, and site documentation
- Monitor project progress, quality, and safety at site
- Support handover, snag closure, and as-built documentation
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of Fire Alarm, Suppression (VESDA, FM200/Novec), Hydrant & Sprinkler systems
- Knowledge of Data Centre standards and critical environments
- Familiar with NFPA codes and local fire regulations
- Good coordination, documentation, and communication skills
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical / Electrical / Fire Engineering
- 4–8 years of experience in CFS projects (Data Centre experience preferred)
- Willingness to work on contractual payroll and project-based locations
