Job description

The department is organized into two teams: Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Practice.
Cloud Infrastructure Team:
In a nutshell, responsible for building and operating the core foundation of Continental’s cloud environments, including:
- Designing and maintaining a scalable, secure cloud landing zone—the backbone of Continental’s cloud ecosystem;
- Developing and supporting secure cloud-based infrastructure for containerized applications, including compute, storage, backup, and orchestration services (container management and orchestration).
Cloud Practice Team (your future team):
This team drives cloud transformation across Continental, covering a broad set of domains:
- Leading cloud transformation initiatives by identifying and applying best-in-class cloud technologies (considering governance, cybersecurity, commercial, architectural, strategic and cost aspects);
- Managing cloud account lifecycles across multiple hyperscale's while ensuring compliance with security standards and FinOps practices;
- Growing and enabling Continental’s cloud community through engagement, knowledge sharing, and training;
- Supporting internal customer projects with defining cloud architectures and offering development and engineering expertise;
- Designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, including MVPs and proofs of concept;
- Developing reusable components and building blocks to accelerate cloud adoption across the organization.
Your responsibilities may include technical engineering and development work with internal customers, serving as a liaison with Microsoft Azure, driving community activities such as workshops and Cloud Community Days, or leading projects within the cloud environment.

- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related field;
- 2+ years of professional software development experience, showcased by a portfolio of previous work;
- Solid foundational knowledge of core Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Storage, IAM, AKS) with hands‑on experience;
- Practical knowledge of IaaS/PaaS concepts and Azure-based architecture;
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates);
- Proficiency with at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Python, TypeScript);
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a team-oriented attitude;
- Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal).
Qualifications You Will Develop with Us:
- Understanding multi-cloud and hybrid setups;
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies;
- Knowledge of Azure architecture best practices and design patterns for containerized workloads, data solutions, and enterprise applications;
- Experience in customer-centric solutions consulting and project management;
- Foundational knowledge of cloud security principles, specifically Azure security services such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, etc.
