Job description

We are seeking a talented and versatile Brand & Communications Specialist to join our Branding and Communications team. In this role, you will act as a brand custodian and a campaign strategist crafting compelling narratives that resonate with both our internal workforce and our external audience. You will be responsible for creating, editing, and publishing high-quality content that drives employee engagement, boosts company reputation, and ensures a consistent brand voice across all digital and print platforms.

Must be able to multitask draft creative briefs + story boards and collaborate with the junior consultants, video and graphic designers to translate ideas into final deliverables.

The Brand & Communications Specialist will support METRO GSC India’s omnichannel internal and external communication initiatives, helping shape consistent, engaging, and impactful messaging aligned with global standards. The role partners closely with leadership, HR, and global stakeholders to strengthen employee engagement, brand voice, and change communications. Should have a strong foundation in project management and stakeholder engagement, ensuring successful execution of marketing initiatives.

External Branding & Marketing (40%)

  • Content Creation: Write engaging, SEO-optimized long format content like blogs, articles, video scripts, people stories, website copy, case studies, press releases, white papers, etc., create thought leadership and social media content to boost brand visibility.
  • Brand Storytelling: Craft narratives that showcase our company’s vision, mission, values, and employer value proposition to external audiences.
  • Campaign Support: Develop creative copy for branding campaigns, employer brand & recruitment marketing campaigns, brochures, and digital collateral.
  • SEO Optimization: Conduct keyword research and incorporate SEO best practices to increase organic website traffic.

Internal Communications & Culture (60%)

  • Brand Engagement: Develop and deliver internal branding and communication campaigns to support business priorities, transformation, and employee engagement. Create clear, compelling content across channels (emails, intranet, presentations, newsletters, leadership messages, intranet articles and executive messages), strengthening employee awareness and pride.
  • Supporting Internal Function Engagement: Partner with cross-functional teams to localize and execute campaigns effectively.
  • Change Management: Work with HR and leadership to craft clear, proactive communications regarding company updates, policy changes, or organizational shifts.
  • Employer Brand: Highlight employee stories, achievements, and company culture to support talent acquisition efforts. Support leadership communications including town halls, leadership updates, and key announcements.
  • Town Hall & Events: Prepare scripts and presentations for town halls and internal company events.

  • Brand Custodian: Ensure all internal and external communication adheres to established brand & employer voice, style, and tone guidelines.
  • Editing & Proofreading: Rigorously edit and proofread all content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and grammatical perfection.
  • Measurement & Tracking: Measure and track communication effectiveness using feedback, engagement metrics, and analytics.
  • Multi Project Management: Manage multiple branding and communication projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and quality standards.
  • Experience: 7-10+ years of experience in marketing and brand communication, internal communication, content creation/planning, social media and employer branding in a corporate environment.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio that demonstrates creativity and versatility across both internal (narrative-driven) and external (persuasive/marketing-driven) writing styles.
  • Writing Skills: Exceptional English writing and editing skills, with a mastery of grammar and tone adaptability. Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging messages.
  • SEO Knowledge: Sound understanding of SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (HR, Marketing, Product).
  • Education: Master’s degree in, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
