Overview GENERAL DESCRIPTION Supports the rehabilitation services team through routine operational and patient‑flow tasks. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); no exceptions. • No additional experience required. COMPETENCIES • Detail-oriented. • Customer/client orientation. • Ability to understand and follow directions. • Interpersonal skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS • May be required to possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements of Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. • Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within sixty (60) days of hire and maintain throughout employment. OTHER REQUIREMENTS • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). • Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Performs duties only within the scope of competence and training, following all applicable education, supervision, credentialing, and regulatory requirements. • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment by cleaning equipment, treatment areas, and workspaces in accordance with department procedures and regulatory guidelines. • Prepares and sets up equipment needed for patient treatments, including hot/cold packs, weights, pulleys, electrodes, and other modality units. • Escorts patients to the treatment area and prepares them for therapy sessions, ensuring they have all necessary supplies and equipment. • May assist patients with pre‑planned therapeutic exercises and activities as specifically directed by the supervising Therapist, without modifying, progressing, or independently instructing the exercise program. • Monitors equipment and supply needs; reports repair issues or low inventory to appropriate personnel. • Maintains required documentation, files, and records; prepares reports as assigned. • Schedules patient appointments and provides updated appointment lists to designated staff. • Types correspondence and performs basic clerical tasks as directed. • Communicates effectively with patients, healthcare staff, external organizations, and other customers in person and by telephone. • Other duties as assigned. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY • Works under immediate supervision. • Has beginning knowledge of the field. • Assignments are simple and require little to no latitude, creativity, or judgement.
