What We Offer Novant Health Outpatient Float Pool is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide support in primarily hand therapy settings. An Occupational Therapist assistant in this role will provide occupational therapy interventions under OT supervision to help individuals achieve independence in daily activities and functional tasks. OTAs provide therapy services consistent with licensure under the direction and supervision of a licensed therapist and functions as part of an interdisciplinary team. Schedule: full-time (minimum 32 hours) Hours can be flexible M-F end by 1pm on Fridays What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' hand and upper extremity function. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on initial assessments and ongoing evaluations. Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and post-treatment care. Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Fabricate and fit custom orthotics and splints to support healing and functional improvement. Conduct pre-surgical education and postoperative rehabilitation for patients undergoing hand surgery. Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain certification and stay current with industry advancements. What We're Looking For Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate from an accredited OT assistant program, required.
