Role Summary:
The Regional Account Manager (AM) plays a critical role in supporting the growth of Trane TNSA’s data center business by providing technical expertise, solution development, and customer-facing support to regional sales teams. The AM is responsible for leading strategic relationships with high‑value customers to drive growth, customer satisfaction, and long‑term partnerships. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, developing tailored solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of products and services
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute account strategies to grow revenue and strengthen customer loyalty
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts
- Build strong, consultative relationships with customer decision-makers and influencers
- Identify customer challenges and collaborate with internal teams to deliver effective solutions
- Monitor account performance, sales pipelines, and key metrics
- Promote and propose Trane Chiller/CDU/FWU/Controls solutions to Data Center
consultants and owners
- Support bid responses, specifications review, project scoping, and value engineering recommendations, and tender follow-up
- Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and business reviews
- Coordinate cross-functional support (sales, service, engineering, operations, finance)
- Prepare technical presentations, lunch‑and‑learns, and product/system education sessions for consultants and other end‑users
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of company offerings, industry trends, and competitor activity
- Assist in competitive analysis and positioning of Trane’s data center portfolio in the region
- Prepare reports, forecasts, and insights for leadership
Requirement:
- Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical engineering or its equivalent
- 3+ years of account management, sales, or customer relationship roles in HVAC or data center industry
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex accounts with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with factory, sales, engineering, and service teams
